We have had great fun over the last two days learning all about the Romans! We have met a celt and a Roman, and some of us were dressed up to help our visitors in battles or in their Roman shops. We have sung Roman songs, listened to stories and learnt about battle techniques with shields. We were also Roman builders and made our own Roman aqueducts.
The year 3 team are proud to announce the arrival of Elvis! Through the Dog’s Trust year 3 will be able to provide food and medicine to Elvis and other dogs in need. In order to be able to do this we would love it if the children could try to earn and bring in 10p a month to pay towards the upkeep of Elvis and help this wonderful charity. How they earn their 10p is up to you. Elvis will be writing to us and, hopefully, the Dogs Trust will visit us to discuss animal welfare in the New Year.
We had a fantastic day learning all about Roman art and learning how to be incredible improvers. We also used ‘Austin’s Butterfly’ to learn how to give kind and specific feedback to our peers to help them improve their work.
Today we reminded ourselves all about staying safe whilst using the internet and associated on-line games. We have been very clear about what we need to do and have written a list of things we will do. Parents, please ask us to show you the lists.
We had a super sports day and we all tried really hard at beating our personal best!
We had a great afternoon today working with year 1 on our physical skills. Some really lovely cooperation skills from both year groups.
